| INAUGURATION
OF QUIZ CLUB ON 8th AUGUST 2002 |

 The
quiz club of CREA was inaugurated on 8th August by Dr. Balasubramaniam
of St. Joseph's college, Trichy. He is well known throughout
the state especially in and around the district of Trichy. He
explained that participating in Quiz programmes not only develops
ones knowledge base but also develops quick thinking and presence
of mind. The children from Vth standard onwards volunteered
to participate in the programme. Dr. Balasubramaniam, who was
conducting his 499th Quiz programme in CREA, made it a thrilling
experience for the students. He also demonstrated a systematic
method of scoring the quiz. Whenever a group gives the correct
answer it is given a pink card. If the group gives the answer
out of its turn due to the target group not being able to answer
correctly, then a green card is given. Finally the number of
cards is counted according to colours and score is found out.

Following the model of Dr. Balasubramaniam
We had class wise quiz programmes, computer quiz programmes
and cultural quiz programmes. The students have also developed
electronic quiz board. |
