She was born in 1959. She completed her Masters degree in Woman studies and Diploma in Journalism. She has devoted her entire working life to education and woman's empowerment. She is the treasurer of 'STEPS' a women Development Organisation in Tamil Nadu. Apart from working with children's education for the past ten years, she has also been a part time news reader in All India Radio. |

She is involved as a Resource Person for NGOs and colleges on Gender Sensitisation orientation. She has published Books and magazines on woman's emancipation and feminism. Her research areas include Socio economic Condition of 'Vending Woman in Tamil Nadu', Study of Rag Picking Children, Impact of New Economic Policy on the handloom weaving Industry and AIDS awareness among working women. |

She has translated a number of books from English to Tamil on Social issues. She had been an invitee to a number of international meets. She is a resource person, on orientation on Gender sensitisation, to many colleges, NGOs and the Tamil Nadu Women Police. |

She is closely associated with JCEC (Johan Crufy Education Centre - Bangalore) and EQIP (Education Quality Improvement Programme - Bangalore), both organizations are involved in promoting quality education. She is the founder of CREA. |

He was born in 1950. After
receiving his Doctorate from Bharathidasan University,
he has been a dedicated teacher at the Graduate, Post
Graduate and Doctoral level for the past 31 years. He
is currently Reader and Head Department of Commerce at
St. Joseph College, Tiruchirappalli. Apart from being
visiting Professor to a number of universities, he is
also an Editorial Consultant for 'The Economic Studies'
Kolkata and President of 'Forum for Just Law' Chennai.

He currently serves as Vice Chairman
of 'Tamil Nadu Social Service Society' and conducts classes
for students of Stockholm University - Sweden. |

He has published six books including
'The Global Debt Crisis' which is used by Stockholm University.
He is the author of more than 30 Articles and 40 research papers.
He has been a Resource person in more than 100 seminars covering
disciplines such as Commerce, Economics, Sociology, Politics,
History and Religion. |

He has been the recipient of 'The
Best Educator Award' presented by 'The New Life Foundation'.
He brings with him a wealth of knowledge with regard to holistic
human development as well as his immense experience in the field

He was born in 1955. He completed
his Masters Degree in Sociology and Labour studies. He
is involved with a number of NGO networks. He is a member
of INDNET - a Micro Credit Network in India. He is an
Executive Member of MICNET - which is a Micro Credit Network
in Tamil Nadu. Facilitator in TIRAN (Training, Information,
Research, Action Net). |

He is also Task force
coordinator in Agro-Ecology Network and Executive Member of
CPSC and R.E.A.L. He has been acknowledged as a Micro credit
expert both nationally and internationally and has attended
symposium on this discipline in Philippines.He is currently
Executive Secretary of PSA (People Solidarity Association) a
leading Micro Credit NGO. He brings with him a wealth of knowledge
in planning and organisation. |

V. Geetha

She was born in
1963. She took her Masters Degree in English from the
University of Iowa, USA. She is the Editor of Tara Publication,
a well renowned publishing house in Children's literature.
She also served as freelance Editor with a number of small
research journals in Chennai. She is author of a number
of books in English and Tamil and has also published a
number of papers on Socio-political-cultural issues, relevant
to the Tamil society in particular and India at large.

She has been an
active member of the Women's movement since 1988. She is a
member of "Tamil Nadu Women's co-ordination committee"
since 1991. She has helped organise a number of seminars and
meeting on women and Caste issues. She is involved in education
of women Social Workers in the NGO sector. |
